I find this media fascinating. You humans are endlessly creative when it comes to capturing information and sharing it. Hazaah.
As a multiverse-renowned travel informant, I have spent the last 203 years collecting the information you to prepare you for traveling, whether leisure or business. I hear repeatedly how the descriptions of inhabitants and beasties, found in my best telling Basta’s Travel Guide to the Multiverse, currently in its 178th edition, have proven invaluable.
So, when I heard that Earth was open for business without restriction for the first time in almost 4,000 years, well…
I will use this space to keep you caught up on all I’m finding stationed here mere steps from the newly established Earth Planetary Ministry Bureau. It’s located on Earth’s capital, Washington. I’ve been informed there is some history around the name, more to come there.
I think probably the most shocking information I have uncovered is—the Unity Council is holding an emergency vote to change its founding mandate! I tell you reader, I had to sit down. After significant digging, I was able to obtain the new language.
Fair reader. Warning. This is not for the feint of heart.
“To set and enforce intergalactic laws, mediate disputes, oversee trade, and offer general governance to all planet members. When necessary, establish and maintain a planetary government to stabilize and provide support to indigenous peoples.”
When necessary. What in blue blazes does that mean?
More to come on that.
I realize that was upsetting, so I’m going to offer you a bit of local color. A bit of a palate cleanser, if you will.
I met a fellow author who is writing a work of fiction set right here. Not my genre, so I was fascinated to watch her work. She spent an hour trying to find a word that properly described aether, what it looked like. I know! I’m still unclear why the attempt was made, but she insisted it was critical for something called a protagonist. She did a google describing the word she needed, then oddly spent an hour going back and forth between a list of words and looking at images.
I was diverted. I didn’t understand the why of it, but I have been there myself. Searching for the right word is often a journey unto itself.
Until next time.
Pack light and travel on!
